People are increasingly seeking jobs that truly suit them and resonate with them ideologically. It is important to recognise the right workplace for oneself, to secure employment there, and to take care of one’s well-being while working. At this point, individuals can turn to Inge-Helene Pello and Doris Luha from Creitist, who, in addition to career-related matters, also advise people on coping with stress.
Creitist is established with the goal of supporting both employers and job seekers. Career counseling sessions help job seekers identify their strengths and thus enable them to create a personalized CV and cover letter for job applications. In addition, Creitist aims to help companies motivate and develop their teams, increase employee satisfaction, and improve organisational culture. This includes offering well-being counseling to individuals who feel they want to better cope with stress and work life.
People turn to career counselors for a wide range of issues. For example, young people who are not quite sure what to study next seek advice. There are also those who have been employed for a long time but wish to make a career change and move into a new field. Additionally, people who have received negative responses from recruiters and want to know what the problem is need help and counseling. Some people don’t perform well in job interviews, and then they can analyze and practice new approaches with a counselor.
“In general, I have noticed that people are becoming increasingly selective about their work. People are not just looking for a job that puts food on the table, but they want the job to align with their lifestyle, values, and future plans,” says a career specialist, Inge-Helene Pello
She adds: “Since many of those who come to me have experienced trauma in previous jobs or even burnout, I also see that more and more people are cautious when choosing a workplace.”
In cases of work-related disappointments and emotional experiences, it is worth turning to someone like Doris, who as a counselor and psychotherapist has advised and trained people on mental health as well as physical health problems, which often stem from prolonged stress. “In my sessions, I mainly use solution-focused brief therapy, knowledge of neuroscience, mindfulness, hypnosis, and NLP,” explains the well-being coach Doris Luha.
We will also discuss the direction in which the labor market is moving, how people’s understanding of the words “work,” “talent,” and “career” has changed over time, what the younger generation sees as work success and how to get back on track when experiencing burnout. We’ll talk about the expectations of leaders and employees, what determines whether a person gets the desired job or not, and how they could even understand what they are best at.
